I know that hotel is pretty awesome and has a rooftop terrace, but depending on your arrival time and level of your energy, I still recommend you to take a leisurely stroll along the Riva promenade in Split. Do it as soon as possible, don’t wait. But once you get there – feel no need to rush anywhere – here, the motto is pomalo, which means “take it slow” and this is exactly how Dalmatians are doing it! 

You will have the chance to discover more about Dalmatians in the upcoming days, exploring the accessible parts of the UNESCO-listed Old Town. Wander through cobblestone streets and get intimidated by ancient walls of Diocletian’s Palace and Diocletian’s Cellars. My top tip – just get lost in the narrow streets of the old town. No rigid plans or schedules, just let your curiosity guide you. 

Don’t forget to visit the green market, located right next to Old Town and Riva promenade. The friendly voices of local vendors calling out their freshest produce, the sweet scent of strawberries in spring, and the colorful displays of fruits, vegetables, and flowers create a pretty interesting sensory experience.
