Accessible Horizon is an inclusive travel agency specializing in personalized, self-guided holidays for people with disabilities, particularly but not limited to wheelchair users. We focus on creating unforgettable travel experiences across sunny Croatia, Slovenia, Mediterranean and other major European destinations, catering to couples, families, friends or solo travelers and limited edition group tours.

We prioritize accessibility at every stage of the travel experience, but in a way that our trips are inclusive for everyone. We do not discriminate between individuals; we strive to make every journey accessible to everyone. From accessible accommodations to tailored activities, we ensure every detail meets the unique needs of our clients. Unlike group tours, we provide personalized, self-paced itineraries. Do what you want, when you want and we will support you through everything.

How do I book a trip with Accessible Horizon?

Booking with us is simple! Contact us through the inquiry on the website or write me directly to [email protected], and we’ll discuss your needs and preferences. From there, we’ll design a custom itinerary tailored just for you. If you already have a package in mind, let me know. We can still adjust it to your needs and wishes.

Do you cover accessible accommodations?

Absolutely! We partner with accommodations that meet high accessibility standards to ensure your stay is both comfortable and barrier-free. 

 Do you organize transportation?

Yes, we can arrange accessible transportation, including adapted vehicles, to ensure you can explore your destination stress-free. In some packages, the transportation is already included!

Do you organize flights?

 Flights are not included in the price, but if you send us a request, we can help you with that too.

Can I travel solo, or is this only for group bookings?

You can absolutely travel solo! Our itineraries are personalized to your preferences, whether you’re traveling alone, as a couple, or with family and friends. Solo travel is possible and depends on the individual’s needs and preferences.

Can I change the recommended travel itinerary?

Of course. The packages are designed in a way that they are self-guided (unless stated otherwise), which gives you all the freedom to choose and see what you wish, without feeling that you need to be the part of guided group tours. We offer you the possibility to personalize everything – you can change the length of stay or activities included. 

How do you ensure accessibility during trips?

We carefully vet every aspect of your trip, from accommodations and transportation to attractions and activities, to ensure they meet accessibility standards. Some things still might not be accessible and we cannot impact on them (for example – Split, Croatia, has really beautiful streets in the Old town. Not every street is accessible, but we are happy to suggest which route to take to make the most of your sightseeing). 

What happens if I encounter issues during my trip?

We offer dedicated support throughout your journey. You’ll have a direct contact person to assist with any issue that may arise. 

Can you accommodate specific medical or mobility needs?

Yes, we customize our services to fit your specific needs. Let us know about any medical equipment, dietary requirements, or other considerations, and we’ll take care of the rest.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 8 weeks in advance to ensure we can secure the best accommodations and experiences for you. Most of our clients book a few months in advance to ensure the best rate. If you wish to go on holiday next week (or in two days) – well, let us know and we’ll try our best to still find a happy solution for you! We understand crazy last-minute wishes 😉

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy depends on the services booked and the providers we work with. We’ll share all terms with you before confirming your trip. You can read our general terms and conditions on our website.

 Is the price the same for people with or without disabilities?

Yes, The same price applies to all travelers. The price featured is the lowest price available based on 2 people traveling unless stated otherwise. Contact us for detailed pricing.

 Is the insurance included in the package?

Accessible Horizon does not provide travel insurance, so it is your responsibility to arrange suitable coverage. Travel insurance is required for all travelers booking with us. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have obtained travel insurance on your own.

Why do I need to pay in advance?

Most of our service suppliers require the services to be paid prior to secure the reservation. Therefore all our services are on prepaid basis in order to confirm the booking and availability of the services, such as adapted transport and guiding services.
